About Sharon
As a high school English teacher, students came to me for help with work in other classes, from science and social studies projects to career assessment and testing, or the college application essay. I was always happy to review their work and troubleshoot. My students took my advice on project or assignment improvement seriously and knew I would be willing to support them in any area of academic challenge.

I rely on dialogue-based methods to teach. I have my student tell me what he or she already knows about a subject or process and then the student and I roadmap where we need to go. Together we usually create an outline or learning task list to approach the assignment.
Engagement through conversation leads to nailing down the specifics of what we do. This may be grammar improvement, word choice, essay structure, or finding textual evidence to support a thesis or claims. I've taught writing for creative, research and technical applications for almost three decades in high schools, community colleges and universities. You'll be in good hands as do what we need to do to meet your assignment objective.
