About Sakshi
I am a passionate Bharatanatyam Guru, Performer, Choreographer, and Official Examiner dedicated to nurturing discipline, culture, and artistic excellence through classical dance.
Over my 20-year journey with this art form, I have managed and trained batches of over 50+ students, conducted specialized workshops for schools, and choreographed extensive classical presentations for cultural festivals.
My teaching methodology bridges the gap between traditional Guru-Shishya values and modern online pedagogy.
My Qualifications & Credentials:
Certified Examiner (Parikshak): Appointed by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal (2023–Present).
Registered Teacher: Government Registered (Registration No. BN/(concealed information) since 2021).
Visharad Degree: Completed the rigorous 8-year course from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal (2009–2017).
Foundational Training: Completed the 5-year preliminary course from Dr. Sucheta Chapekar’s prestigious Kalavardhini Charitable Trust, Pune (2007–2011).

Hello! I am Guru Sakshi Chavan. With 20 years of performing experience and a formal Visharad degree, my online classes are structured to give you an authentic, rigorous training experience from the comfort of your home.

Age-Appropriate Batches: I separate my batches into Junior (ages 6–12) and Adult Beginners/Intermediates to ensure tailored attention.
Technical Accuracy: I place heavy emphasis on proper body alignment (Angashuddhi), perfect Araimandi posture, and building stamina.
Exam Preparation: As a registered teacher and official examiner (Parikshak) for the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, I train interested students specifically to clear their formal certification exams with high marks.
Digital Optimization: I use professional audio-visual setups with Zoom's high-fidelity sound features so you can hear my Tattukazhi beats and ankle bells perfectly without lag.
