About Della

Hi! I’m Della, an English teacher, writer, and former journalist who genuinely enjoys helping students find their voice and become more confident writers. I’ve taught English, writing, journalism, and college composition at both the high school and college levels. My approach is friendly, patient, and encouraging.

I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning along the way. Whether you’re tackling a tough essay, improving your writing skills, preparing for a big test (AP or SAT) or just need a little extra guidance, I’m here to help!

About the lesson

Hi! My lessons are creative and tailored to each student whether they need help organizing or writing an essay, strengthening their grammar skills, analyzing a text, or completing their homework. A typical lesson includes clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, and plenty of personalized feedback. My approach is to make lessons applicable to real-world situations, so students can make connections and engage with the materials taught.

As a high school and college teacher, including AP Language, journalism, and college composition, I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where students can ask questions, build their skills, and discover that learning doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
