About Corinne
I work at the French Institute in Manhattan. I am a French teacher who has worked with students as young as 1 through adults to better their understanding of French language and culture. I am professionally certified to teach French and have over 10 years of experience teaching the language in person and online. I've also taught yoga since 2015 and have over 700 hours of yoga training that I've completed since then.

My teaching approach is student centered. I focus on what motivates and engages them and then create my lesson. I have a masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, which taught me best practices for language acquisition. When working with students I work on all facets of language acquisition with particular focus on listening and speaking skills, since these are often overlooked in traditional language learning settings. I currently work with students online and in person and always leave them with something to work on throughout the week until we meet again.
I'm happy to meet with you for purely conversational practice as well! This would be a reduced rate.

I took my first French class with Corinne over a year ago. I wanted to learn conversational French as many people in my office speak the languge. I took 2 levels with Corinne and I can now successfully eavesdrop on my co-workers.
All jokes aside, I really enjoyed the classes. The material was easy to digest and presented in a fun and relevant way. I never felt too embarrassed to try to pronounce things or speak out loud in class.
Corinne is a very engaging teacher and helps you zone in on the way you want to learn and speak the language, making it a very fun and practical way to learn.Corinne is an absolute dream ! She is tutoring my 5 year old anglo-phone who is enrolled in a French DLP Kindergarten class. Corinne is lively, engaged, playful and incredibly thoughtful. She has really helped our daughter discover the joy of the language. I highly recommend her to anyone !!!
