About Tiffany
My name is Tiffany. I have been a teacher for 17 years. I taught second grade for 11 years and right now I am a Literacy Coach in an elementary school with kindergarten to grade four students where I work with small groups of kids and help them to be better readers and also coach teachers to be better teachers of reading and writing. I have a 6th year degree in Literacy and hold 3 teaching certificates in the state of Connecticut. I love to read and my favorite series is the Boxcar Children.

Lessons will include a structured literacy approach with many activities so students do not get bored. Activities will be differentiated to meet student needs after initial assessments but may include phonemic awareness drills, sight word mapping and practice, phonics skills explicit instruction and practice, decodable and book reading, vocabulary instruction, dictation/spelling practice, comprehension practice, games, etc. I believe each child is an individual so after getting to know the child's needs and gaps I will plan each session to meet their individual needs and monitor their progress.
