About Shanna
I am a fully certified former teacher and current tutor who holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's degree in Teaching from Berry College. I have been helping students write, study, and learn for over a decade. I also have extensive experience in social studies curriculum as well as online instruction.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered and based on growth mindset, empathy, and positivity. I like to begin lessons by getting to know students' needs and learning styles in order to individualize the rest of the lesson. I have 6 years of teaching experience at the high school level and 3 years of experience tutoring at the college level, with 4 of those years in a fully virtual environment. I can assist middle school, high school, and college students in regular, honors, or AP social studies courses such as World History, U.S. History, and Geography. I can also provide study skills and writing assistance.
