About Jules
With 16+ years of experience teaching Spanish, I have had the pleasure of helping around 150 High School and College students achieve their learning goals. Teaching is more than a profession for me; it is an opportunity to help students discover new skills and grow in confidence. My teaching philosophy focuses on making every lesson simple, enjoyable, and meaningful.
I believe language learning should be practical and interactive. My classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through activities that encourage active participation. Students practise conversations, complete engaging exercises, and work through real-life situations that help them understand how Spanish is used every day.
I also believe that learning should happen at the student's own pace. I adapt lessons according to individual strengths and areas that need improvement. Regular feedback and revision help students recognise their progress while staying motivated to continue learning.
Helping students improve their examination scores and become confident Spanish speakers has been one of the most rewarding achievements of my career. Seeing learners communicate naturally after consistent practice inspires me to continue improving my teaching methods.
My aim is to create a welcoming classroom where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, and asking questions. Together, we work toward building strong Spanish language skills that will remain valuable for years to come.

I approach teaching Spanish with a student-centred methodology that emphasises engagement, adaptability, and practicality. Accountability ensures learners set achievable goals, monitor their progress, and actively participate in lessons. Integrity guarantees lessons are honest, fair, and tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges.
I use Flexibility to adapt lesson plans, exercises, and teaching strategies to different learning styles, proficiency levels, and personal goals. Communication is central; I encourage active discussion, conversation, and interactive exercises to help students internalise grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates milestones, and fosters confidence. I also integrate complementary subjects such as literature, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural studies to provide context and practical application. My goal is to help students achieve fluency, confidence, and a lasting passion for Spanish.
