About Jasmin
I’m Jasmin, a certified early childhood educator with years of experience teaching kindergarten in Title I schools. I specialize in foundational reading instruction and am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach—an evidence-based method that supports struggling and emerging readers through explicit, multisensory strategies. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum Studies with a focus on Language Arts and Literacy. My work is grounded in the Science of Reading, and I’m deeply committed to helping every child build a strong literacy foundation, no matter where they start. As a classroom teacher, I’ve helped many young learners go from recognizing letters to confidently reading and writing. My lessons are designed to help young readers build a strong foundation in early literacy through engaging, structured, and research-based instruction. I specialize in phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, letter-sound knowledge, sight word recognition, and decoding CVC words. Each session is tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and learning pace, using proven strategies from the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham-based methods.
Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and fun—incorporating games, movement, visuals, and repetition to make learning stick. I focus on building confidence, accuracy, and fluency while keeping students motivated and proud of their progress. Whether your child is just starting to read, needs targeted support, or is catching up after learning disruptions, I create a calm and encouraging space to grow.
