About Kru Derrick
Every student who walks through my doors is stepping into more than a gym, they are stepping into a standard.
I did not arrive here by chance. From the discipline of college football, to leading young athletes as a high school coach, to operating in high-stakes environments as a former CIA officer and deputy sheriff, every chapter of my life demanded structure, accountability, and resilience. There was no room for excuses—only growth.
Muay Thai and Muay Boran became the bridge that connected it all. They took that discipline and sharpened it. They turned pressure into precision. They taught me that real power is not just physical; it’s mental, emotional, and controlled.
As a Kru, I bring that same expectation to my students. Not perfection, but effort. Not comfort, but growth. You will be pushed, because I have lived in environments where quitting was not an option.
