During my formative years, like many students, I was unable to understand and connect the relevance of classroom learning to the real life problem solving.
Upon entering the industry, I realized that the rhetoric of academics not relevant to job market is unsubstantiated.
As an example, probability is still used widely in risk metrics in the safety and loss prevention industry, bell curve is widely used for finding the probability of many occurrences.
My method of teaching is based on connecting theory as much as possible with application so that the student enjoys the subject and could further contribute to the stream if the basics are fully understood.
