About Magdalena
I graduated last year from theUniversity of Sheffield Chemistry Departments (MSc,1st class degree).
I have been helping my friends since junior high school. At university, I helped my friends with electrochemistry, statistical thermodynamics, inorganic spectroscopy, organic chemistry etc. Most of the time they did correctly what I explained to them. The ones who asked me for help at the last minute before exams, tend to panic and mix up things.
I have never thought of making tutoring my part time job, I had a non-academic part time job, which, looking back, was a mistake. Now, I am looking for Ph.D., I have more free time at hand, and no excuse for not trying “official“ tutoring. During my first level, I got 82% average, then 76% and 75% in my 2nd and 3rd year respectively.

The most important thing is that everyone is different and requires a different approach. In fact, the first thing I would like a tutee to do is a personality test (it really is important). Other things apart from personality are also important. For instance, in junior high school, one of my friends had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which made tutoring bit challenging. So, I tried to corrupt knowledge while I goofed around with him, most often he got B. (chemistry was not his priority).
It is the tutee who chooses what we are working on and what is the level they want to achieve. Although I always prefer to explain with more depth, as everything makes more sense then. I explain the theory, then the student explains it back to me (it’s easy to sit nodding :D, then we will run through examples.

Details
If you need to cancel a lesson please do it as soon as you know about it, so that we do not waste each other time. If you cancel lessons twice giving me less than a day warring then that gives me a signal you do not really care about improving. Sorry, I am not a clock person myself, :D but I always make sure I show up for an appointment
