In order to approach each student accordingly I ask them to try to list their strengths and weaknesses. After that I prepare them a mind map on their weaker areas and work through examples with them. To make sure that progress is well made I carry out a little 5-10 minutes quiz at start of each class about the topic and then carry it out again at the end with some extra questions.
I have taught Polish to 3 students before 2 of which successfully passed and on of them did not show up to their exam. I have taught GCSE level maths to students here for about 4 weeks prior to moving to Lincoln. I have also supported two AS-Level maths students in Poland with success ( B grade achieved).
