I tailor guidance to each student’s pace and learning style, ensuring that they grasp concepts fully. Multiple examples and exercises reinforce learning, making problem-solving natural and intuitive. I encourage curiosity, questions, and critical thinking to deepen understanding.
My goal is to help students think like chemists—analytical, confident, and capable of tackling challenges. Each session builds knowledge, accuracy, and problem-solving ability. I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MPhil in Chemistry. My passion lies in exploring the intersection of science, art, and cultural heritage. I take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, focusing on how chemistry helps preserve our shared human creativity. My work emphasises pigment analysis, material degradation, and conservation treatments to understand how artworks withstand the test of time.
I use historical art pieces as case studies, connecting chemical principles to real-world preservation challenges. Analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and microscopy allow students to examine materials and understand their behaviour. Ethical considerations are central to my teaching, encouraging thoughtful restoration that respects the authenticity and history of each piece.
I have guided art history students, conservationists, and anyone curious about the science behind preserving creativity. Lessons combine theory, hands-on exploration, and discussion to make learning engaging and meaningful. Together, we uncover how chemistry informs restoration decisions and protects cultural treasures.
