About Julia
I’m a high school teacher in Chicago, with experience as an early childhood Montessori teacher. I hold a bachelor's degree in education and art, and I have a deeply complicated love for both academic and creative writing. My professional and personal experiences have clarified my role as a mentor, especially for neurodivergent and queer adolescents.

I offer a holistic approach that incorporates both understanding and curiosity about the psychological obstacles involved in the writing process. My teaching style is warm, direct, and highly customized to the demeanor and needs of each student. I’m specifically knowledgeable about the impacts of neurodivergence and the writing process, and I believe that all learning differences come with a set of unique assets that can be discovered and honed with intention. Here to help adolescents and adults with all forms of writing, especially college application materials, resumes, cover letters, essays, and creative pursuits.
