About Ciara
- What kind of experience do you have?
Having specialised in Early Years Education I have spent the majority of my career working in both Early Years and Key Stage I. At the beginning of my career I spent 2 years teaching reception children and 3 years teaching year 2 where as Key Stage Leader, I was responsibile for and oversaw the teaching, learning and progress of 540 year 1 and 2 children. For the past 2 years, following the birth of my son, I have spent my time working with Key Stage 2 children predominantly in years 4 and 5.
I am extremely experienced in planning individual learning for children and due to my Early Years Specialism, I have a keen interest in supporting children to overcome barriers in Maths within the 6-10 age range. Often children encounter barriers in Maths due to gaps in their learning and thus find it difficult to move on. I am adept at identifying early mathematical gaps and supporting children in overcoming them.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have an enhanced and current DBS certificate available to view on request.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently tutor a range of children from a vast array of different backgrounds, strengths and abilities. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the children whom I teach, flourish and develop both holisitcally and academically.

Additionally, I also tutor children for the 7 and 11+ entrance examinations.

Confidence and emotional security is imperative to sucessful learning - Without this learning can be severly hindered.
