About Clare
I started learning piano at the age of 7, I worked up towards gaining ABRSM Grade 8 distinction by the time I was 17. I also studied music at GCSE and A Level. I began teaching piano at 17, starting with young beginners and then expanding to pupils of all ages and skills over the years. I have taught pupils and entered them into exams with the ABRSM up to grade 8 successfully over 20 years. I have a lot of great teaching and practising techniques that I am keen to pass on to others.
I also have an up to date DBS certificate
Lessons would be delivered from my home in Leek, Staffordshire via webcam.
My students have ranged from beginners up to Grade 8. They mainly learn in a classical style but I am happy to teach more modern and chart music if my pupils are interested in this as I find its best to learn from music that inspires you

Online tuition available via webcam using zoom for beginners from children to adults, (your never too old to learn!)
I would love to meet you and discuss what you want to learn and start lessons. Lessons would be 30 mins to 1hr depending on experience and your personal needs.
I welcome any ability and age, to learn the piano to begin with you will need; a piano or keyboard with suitable stool and plenty of time - learning the piano does requir daily practice.
As beginners I have certain books and flashcards that I recommend using and you would be expected to purchase by your second lesson for us to continue on our journey together
