Ms. Westerduin has performed solo repertoire at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, The Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music and at the historic Hobart Manor located on the campus of William Patterson University in North Haledon, NJ. Although well versed in a multitude of techniques, I primarily draw influence from the Abel Carlevaro, Aaron Shearer, and Suzuki methods. These, along with my recent Orff training, are the core of over ten years of experience in both private and group settings. I ceaselessly seek to engage my students through participation, play, and exciting challenges in an effort to instill a love of music and a desire to learn.
I am a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, with a B.M. in classical guitar performance. Since then, I have attended and completed Level 1 of the Orff-Schulwerk program, a distinguished approach to music education.
