About Katherine
I have 5 years` experience of teaching privately. My background is in classical music, but I teach in a variety of different styles including pop, rock, and folk.
I perform regularly as a soprano in the UK and Europe, and have performed in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Southbank Centre, St John Smith’s Square, and Glastonbury. I sing in a number of ensembles including Woodwose Early Music group.
As regards pop music, I taught myself to play guitar and have been writing songs since I can remember. As a songwriter I have received radioplay including BBC6 Music, and as a session guitarist I have played on studio recordings. I have previously been the singer and bassist in a successful punk band touring Europe.
I am currently the lead singer and guitarist in a professional function band.

Hi there! My name is Katherine and I am a classically trained soprano, who teaches singing from my home studio in Stirchey. My students range in age from 6 to 72, so all are welcome!
I have 5 years' experience of teaching privately. Although my background is in classical music, I teach in a variety of different vocal styles including pop, rock, and folk.
I teach Singing to beginners through to Grade 6; Electric Guitar up to Grade 5; and Music Theory up to Grade 5.
Every voice is unique, and I enjoy working with students and tailoring lessons for each person. Depending on what you personally want to achieve, I can support and motivate you in developing as a musician.
My current students have gone on to pass exams, join choirs, and participate in performances.
I can help if you want to:

-Expand your vocal range and repertoire
improve vocal technique
-Realize your singing goals
make the most of your practice, helping you to structure your time
