About Scarlett
Many guitarists struggle to move beyond simple patterns because they lack a clear understanding of the fretboard logic. Addressing this hurdle is my primary objective during our time together. I adapt my 13 years of experience to meet the needs of working professionals and returning learners who require structured progress.
We will use my background from the Royal Northern College of Music to build your fluency in reading sheet music. Developing your ability to improvise requires consistent practice with lead guitar scales. Keep it simple.

Refining my craft at the Royal Northern College of Music provided the MMus Voice foundation that now informs my approach to all musical instruments. It seems strange to some that a vocalist focuses on guitar, but 13 years of experience reveals universal principles of phrasing and timing. I have taught 168 students, ranging from working professionals to advanced learners seeking a fresh perspective.
My background allows me to simplify reading sheet music and tabs for those who previously found notation intimidating. I emphasise improvisation and soloing to help you find your unique voice on the fretboard. You will learn to execute power chords with precision while maintaining melodic clarity.
Lead guitar work becomes a logical extension of your technical foundation. I am ready to guide you to your next milestone.
