About Sofia
Possessing an MMus Voice from the Royal Northern College of Music means I approach the guitar with a deep understanding of musicality. While my formal background is rooted in classical opera performance across the UK for 12 years, I have spent 13 years refining my broader instrumental skills. I teach everything from intricate fingerpicking and barre chords to power chords and blues progressions.
Students often find my background as an opera singer provides a unique perspective on rhythm and timing. My curriculum is built to ensure you read tabs and understand music theory with total clarity. Developing ear training and learning proper tuning and maintenance are vital aspects of my process. I am a working performer who enjoys seeing hobbyists and adults finally master their instrument.
