About Esme
I am a passionate Classics graduate, who is currently studying towards a Research Masters in Classics, Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
My background and passion is in ancient literature and philosophy, primarily Classical Latin texts.
I have experience working at a Special Educational Needs Secondary School, as well as tutoring SEN students on an individual basis outside of school.
You will always find me with a nice cup of tea and a book!

About the lesson

Classical Civilisation A Level classes will be focused on understanding the contents of the exam, particularly the reading material required.
My background is in ancient literature, and I am extremely knowledgeable of the Epic poetry required for the A Level exam.
The sessions will be centred around discussion, debates and analysis of the topics covered. I believe this learning method is essential for memory, passionate understanding, and exam results.
Generally a class will last 1 hour.
I was awarded a grade A in Classical Civilisation at college/sixth form, and continued on to study a Classics BA at the University of Manchester. I am currently studying a Research Masters in Classics, Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
I also have experience working with SEN children and feel it is vital to take a student-centred approach to learning. I want to learn how best you learn!
