About Meredith
I am an full-time assistant professor of psychology. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy working on research projects and sharing those findings in scientific journals. To date, I have authored 25 articles. I love helping students who are new to psychology figure out how psychology applies to their lives, whether it is just for that semester or beyond college graduation.

I employ a variety of pedagogical approaches that enhance my students' awareness of their life experiences and goals, strengths, and the challenges they face in and outside of the classroom. I especially enjoy inquiry-based learning, using multimedia to help students recognize and remember concepts.
As a psychology professor, I enjoy equipping students with the tools that they need to learn and apply key concepts in introduction to psychology courses. I also love helping students ace their developmental psychology courses.
When it comes to writing research papers and personal statements, I believe that all writing is story-telling. I prioritize learning more about each writer's strengths and goals for strengthening their narrative muscles.
Statistics and research methods can bring up anxiety for many people. I incorporate hands-on activities with clear step by step explanations so that students leave each session feeling more confident than when we started.
