About Jaco
I'm a young college student who aspires to be an English teacher not only because I have a passion and love for reading, writing and learning English but also because I want to help people, even when I was younger all I wanted to do was help in every which way I can. My goal as a tutor/teacher is not only to help you to correct a spelling or grammar mistake but also help you with any other questions or interests you may have. I want to inspire you not only to have dreams but that they are possible aswell. I will do everything in my power to not only help you in school but do with any other questions/problems you might have, even if that is only to offer advice if you want it, I'll do it.

I feel like my method of teaching is different from other teachers in the sense of not only making the lessons fun but also making students aware of how important their roles are. I want my students to ask me questions, not only to help them in understanding the lesson but also to form a connection. I want my students to understand that I am human just like they are and they have every reason to trust me.
What a typical lesson from me can look like:
1-2 hour lessons where I will help the student in what ever they may be struggling with, give explanations or context on a certain subject or simply helping them with homework.
I'm efficient in speaking, writing and reading both Afrikaans and English.
I do like to work hard and efficiently but I'll take it slow if you need an explanation multiple times, I'll be happy to give it, my goal at the end of the day it to make sure you understand what you are learning.
I will often make a game or some sort of funny comment or joke in relation to the lesson to not only lighten the mood but also make it easier to understand.
My lessons are aimed at:
Any student (between Gr 1-7) that wants to learn, improve or simply wants to be better at writing or understanding English.
