College student offering to give sociology lessons to AS level students and below

Methodology

I like to do basic theorist lessons, to begin with, and get an idea of the level students are working at. We will work through perspectives and theorists together and revise key terminology. We will also work on essay writing and essay structure.

Background

I am a college student studying sociology, English lang and lit and biology in West Bromwich. I am happy to help out with sociology and some aspects of psychology if needed, as I studied that at GCSE level and really enjoyed it.

Erin's CV

Personal Profile:
I am a hardworking, enthusiastic person, looking for part time work. I enjoy working in a team and am a good leader. I also am willing to take on board constructive criticism to improve in everything I do. I am an optimistic person and always happy to greet people with a smile. I currently attend Sandwell College, where I am working towards my A-Levels, in English Literature and Language, Sociology and Biology.
Education:
GCSEs achieved at Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School:
Mathematics – 7 English Language – 7 English Literature – 6
Religious Education – A* History – A Psychology – B
Core Science – B Additional Science – B Further Mathematics – C
Work Experience:
I took part in a short work experience placement at Eaton Valley Primary School. I worked mainly with younger years, such as reception and year one. At this placement in July 2016, I learnt the value of individual care. I learnt the importance of treating people as individuals to suite everyone’s needs. I also learnt the value of good communication, as everything would fall apart unless team members are willing and able to talk and communicate with each other. I worked at McDonald’s, Holyhead Road, West Bromwich. During my time working as a crew member, I have developed a wide range of professional skills, such as: communication, dedication, determination, adaptability and conflict resolution.
Other experience:
I currently take part in the Boys Brigade and Girls Association. Here I have worked extremely hard for my Presidents badge, which is the second highest badge within the organisation. I am currently working towards my Queen’s Badge, the highest badge attainable. Working in the organisation has given me a real sense of what team work is all about. As well as this I have learnt the importance of great communication and trust between team mates. I also volunteer some of my time to help at the British Red Cross in Stourport. I was given this opportunity due to a family member working there and it has been a great opportunity to learn and progress my skills.
