About Kentaro
I am a college student wanting to teach beginners so they can develop a passion for music. I've had over a decade's experience playing and have a passion for keys. Currently, I am studying a production course so I have a wide range of knowledge for music as a whole.

My lessons will be adjusted to each individual and the pace they would like to move at. It can be quite stressful for beginners so I will be teaching with a slow and encouraging approach to develop interest and passion for playing. Lessons will include basic music theory coverage, hand placement, etc.

Perfect! Amazing experience with Ken . My kids were very comfortable . I can’t wait for them to start playing very well . He is a very patient and understanding teacher .
- I really enjoyed teaching both Avery and Axel. We have learnt nearly all the notes on the piano over the period of 2 weeks. During this time, we also covered basic understanding of sheet reading and the scales (C Major). Proud of both their efforts even when it may be a struggle. For Avery, we will focus on left hand mostly and try to encourage the right hand. I think once he understands how to use his more confident hand (left), it will be easier to transfer his skills he has learnt from left to right hand. Last week, he remembered quite a few notes and played part of the c major scale off by heart which is good progress. As for Axel, he knows quite a few notes from memory using the key words. He has good memory so I think using words to represent notes has helped him remember which is good. He played part of the c major scale (C, D, E and F) going up and down which is progress. This week, we will try to play from the sheet which is one step up from last week. We drew in notes last week to show what the notes represent on a sheet of paper (the black dots with letters underneath). We will use this sheet to read and play a real sheet of music. Proud of both of them as they have gained knowledge of the notes on the piano and basic understanding of scales.Kentaro's response :
