About Deeba
Hi! My name is Deeba, and I am 16 years old, turning 17 later this year. I have recently completed all of my GCSEs and am passionate about helping younger students achieve their academic goals.
Outside of school, I enjoy theatre and sports, as they have helped me develop confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. I also enjoy volunteering for charities, which has taught me the importance of patience, kindness, and supporting others. These experiences have shaped the way I work with people and have inspired me to become a tutor.
I want to become a tutor because I know how rewarding it is when a difficult topic finally makes sense. Having recently completed my own GCSEs, I understand the pressures students can face and can share effective revision methods, study techniques, and exam strategies that worked for me. I believe every student learns differently, so I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.
Although I may seem young, I believe this is one of my strengths as a tutor. Being closer in age to my students makes me approachable and relatable, helping them feel more comfortable asking questions without worrying about being judged. I understand the current curriculum, the expectations of today's exams, and the challenges students face because I have experienced them myself. This allows me to explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand and relevant to their learning.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them enjoy learning and believe in their own abilities.

I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual learning style. My teaching focuses on building confidence, strengthening understanding, and helping students develop effective study and exam techniques. I explain concepts clearly, encourage questions, and adapt the pace of each lesson to suit the student's needs.

Lessons are available in the following formats:
1 hour (£20–£30, depending on the subject)
1 hour 30 minutes (£30–£35, depending on the subject)
The exact price depends on both the subject and the length of the session.

I have completed all of my GCSEs and have a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum. Having recently studied these subjects myself, I can relate to the challenges students face and offer practical revision strategies, exam techniques, and clear explanations to help them succeed.
