About Ettienne Paris

I am a dedicated and professional tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for education. I am completing a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavior at Columbia University, where I have developed advanced analytical, organizational, and communication skills that directly inform my teaching approach. I have experience tutoring undergraduate students in an academic setting and am skilled at presenting complex material in a clear, structured, and approachable way. As a former language learner who personally received one-on-one Japanese tutoring, I understand the challenges students face and prioritize clarity, patience, and consistency in every lesson. My teaching style is professional, reliable, and student-focused. I prepare lessons carefully, adapt to individual learning goals, and create a respectful, supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and making progress. I take my role as a tutor seriously and am committed to maintaining high standards of instruction, communication, and professionalism. Students can expect well-organized lessons, thoughtful feedback, and a tutor who is genuinely invested in their success.
