About Samuel
I am a Melbourne based filmmaker. I am focused on telling grounded, Australian stories based on my surroundings and community.
I grew up in Northern NSW in mainly small regional towns (Seriously, look up Bukkulla NSW, I lived there). While I was there I became fascinated with telling stories as the land that I lived on was filled with so many.
I went and studied at SAE and did a Bachelors Degree in Film.
Since then I have been working in the industry creating everything from TVCs, to currently working on a pilot episode of a TV series I have written and produced with my close friends who also work in the industry.
I am passionate about interacting with filmmakers and helping them sprout when starting out.

In my lessons about Film we will learn about filmmaking, character building and how to actually get your film off the ground. We will also talk about editing and how to access editing software.
We will go over the following topics in detail
- Screenwriting
- Character Creation
- Cinematography
- Directing, Producing and Filmmaking
- Short film festivals.
- Common Mistakes and Critical Errors.
By the end of my time with you, you will have written your own short film and received feedback and you will feel comfortable to go out and film that short to show the world.
Lessons are 1.5 - 3 hours and will take place over 3 weeks (two days of your choice a week).
We can also work on anything you think you need to improve on in film, work on scripts and I can give you feedback.

Details
Minimum price for a session is $70 (1.5hours). In addition to your fee I will be providing you with access to all the software and tools you may need for this class.
