My teaching method is to find out what skills/knowledge my students need to know. I have taught 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th years Master students. I tailor my classes to what is required of the students. I am a good listener and a positive influence. I am driven to get results but also tactful and supportive when required to be.
Lessons in Film & Radio Production to secondary school pupils.
I am a university student going into my third and final year. I started to write and create script work near the end of high school and into university. Since starting to write I have gotten positive reviews from audience members, high marks in the practical work I have helped write and choreograph at university, as well as getting a 'First' or an 'A-Grade' on my script writing submission.
I will structure tutoring sessions based on what topic is needed to learn. I can cover both practical camera and editing work, as well as the theory behind the film industry. From analysing Hitchcock, to creating an industry standard film to build your portfolio.
I work with people of all ages, however, I mostly have experience with older aged primary school children and young adults. I teach screenwriting via a practical method; I believe that people learn best when they're working on something they care about. So students will develop ideas and write at least a first if not second, third and fourth draft with me.
I've been exploring the world of film since I was a child, and as I grow older my love for it grows with me. I teach several classes from Video Editing to Film Theory.
My teaching lessons are open to all, but would be particularly beneficial to those studying film studies/ film analysis at GCSE and A-Level.
I'm currently studying Filmmaking at Brighton Film School. My strengths are in film studies and theory, pre-production as a production manager, camera operating, film editing, and script writing. I am looking to offer tutoring in the aforementioned areas to people looking to get into film.
I offer sessions in line with what the student wants to get out of but by playing to their strengths with a focus on strengthening their weaknesses. I work towards making workshops as relevant and appropriate for the student's needs and for them to be able to apply it so to make their own works.
My teaching method is based on the needs of the individual. An open and conversational class is often the best way to achieve good results, listening to the student and responding with personalised feedback and tasks.
The film world is one where one needs to understand the whole process in order to be good at one particular section. It is one where the student needs to be encouraged to find their specific talent. Discuss ideas, gain input, then be disciplined in the approach in order to deliver the right result. When writing stories or scripts get the idea down on paper first even if it I not perfect.
Theoretically and practically both but mostly practically showing you examples by using all the tools and matirials needed and also extra reasearched knowledge sharing and will give daily assignments which would make you understand more and make you learn more by which you would have your good portfolio and you will enhance your skills more better everytime
I base my classes on real world experience. This is the critical difference in that my models are not hypothetical, my ideas or theories are not my currency - My experience's are. I have twelve years of valuable insight across multiple feature films.
From graduating as an Actor from both Dundee and Angus and on a part time Scholarship at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, I proceeded to establish myself in the Scottish Industry. I worked in industry leading Theatres and experienced a wealth of on the job learning. Now, having just graduated with a Masters in Filmmaking, I want to share that knowledge and experience.
I am willing to teach college/university students who are wishing to get to know the ropes of screenwriting for television and hope to help anyone who needs that push to try and get themselves into the industry. As a fun and energetic university student I have a very relaxed teaching environment with flexible hours.
I teach from experience and tried and tested methods to make learning more intuitive.
If you want a career in film to make money, this isn't the class for you. However if you want to learn practical filmmaking and the history of film to further propel you as a creator and help you futher in creating your vision, may it be writing, editing or directing and you need to make something but need help, then this is the class for you.
My teaching method is to start at the foundation level for everyone and make sure the fundamentals are understood before moving on.
I believe that in order for a passion in filmmaking to be fostered, fun is an important quality. Creativity blossoms in the right environment. I believe in finding the interest you have in film and working to your strengths rather then pointing out your weaknesses. We all have strengths and I will insure that you have confidence in those strengths as well as additional knowledge going forward.
I base my classes on a combination of structured lessons to gain the fundamental knowledge. I use a mixture of practical examples and tasks and case studies. Students are encouraged to bring there own projects to the sessions to gain guidance and tutorials specifically tailored towards their individual needs.
Lesson structure will contain a mixture of direct teaching, with self directed activities and often an independent assignment to be completed weekly with an additional, larger assignment for each term. Assignments will not always be essay based but may even require practical application of skills and techniques learned about and put into practice.
My teaching method is getting to know each student individually and expressing what makes us all different, unique, and special
Whether you are a student, a new starter in the media industry or making films for fun, my lessons will sharpen your existing skills and make you more confident about organising your TV, film or video production. Learn how to organise and make your film in a professional way, how to use your camera to best effect and to use an editing process that will streamline your work in the cutting room.
I find it best to be honest.
I have over 25 years experience working in TV, Film, Theatre and more recently 3D heritage visualization.
My teaching method is kinetistetic most of the time meaning I will show people how to do things physically but depending on how they learn, it’s tailored to them.
I work with screenwriters of all levels, from industry professionals to emerging writers, and I teach film production for low budgets. Lessons and workshops are engaging and practical. In the absence of a specific project we create one to discuss. As a tutor I'm very approachable and work hard to develop the learner's writing or filmmaking voice.
Throughout my teaching career I have become able to adapt to a wide range of teaching situations from lecturing to large numbers of students to one-to-one tutorials. I have a strong awareness of the way certain students learn in a variety of ways and at different rates.
I am passionate in making Natural and Organic Cosmetics products, I just made Perfumes, bar Soaps, liquid soaps, balm, shampoo, oils for hair and body and candles. I can teach you how to make them or I can produce bespoke products suitable for you.
My teaching method is a balance between theory and practical. Anything from equipment and practial work such as editing and screenwriting, to theory about different eras of film, I can help and provide an easier way to grasp difficult areas of study.
