• 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  1.I first started tutoring in 1997...I was very disillusioned with the corporate world n wanted to devote my time to a profession that was more rewarding n fulfilling.

• 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  2.I tutor for the 7/8/11/13+ exams in English comprehension, English Composition, Verbal n Non Verbal Reasoning.

• 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  3.My English teacher Ms Fay at A level was a definite role model...she was so inspiring.

• 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  4.I think you need to be patient, kind, firm and thorough to be a good tutor.

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  5.Recently I tutored 7yr old Turkish girl who was so bright and enthusiastic and loved learning...she passed all her exams.

• 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  6.Tutoring creative composition can be challenging because it requires much imagination n a rich vocabulary.

• 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  7.I love tutoring creative composition because it gives you a lot of freedom n independence.

• 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

  8. I think im a Superprof because my tried n tested methods of over 35yrs tutoring experience get the desired results each n every time.
