I like to tailor my teaching style to the child. All children learn in a unique and beautiful way, and I hope to help them surpass the sometimes shallow-minded teaching that occurs in schools. My name is Dr Noor, i am a General medicine junior doctor. I teach children aged 7-16, but also teach small infants too. I am really passionate about teaching the younger generation. I first look at the curriculum the student is studying. Then discuss (with parents and student) their goals and what they wish to achieve or gain from tuition. It is important to adapt to the students style of learning; and make sure they find the task at hand exciting. I try to make all my lessons fun; as bored students never put in 100% effort.
My teaching method is to approach things simply, beginning with the basics and build up slowly but surely to the next level. I also find repetition helps students remember what they've learnt, so excessive exercises of repeating certain topics is vital.
I follow a very set strategy, which is, I always segregate the subject into smaller sections and then create a timeline in which I need to finish each topic/subject. Further, I keep enough time for revision(at least) twice before the test, so that all the material has been learnt at least a week prior the final day.
My teaching method is providing a strong foundation on the topics first, then giving suitable exam material to further the understanding of the student, ensuring that they have the skills needed for the exams. I can go through the exam techniques in detail so they can link back what they have learnt to answer questions to appropriate detail.
