About Nikolaus
I graduated from the University of Washington - Seattle with a Bachelor's in English Composition, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Bellevue College. Further, I have also been published in several journals (in various genres of Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Historical research), have volunteered with the Pacific Northwest Railroad Archive, a member of the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society and the University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA). Learning is something we do all our lives; it doesn't end with commencement.

If you're in need of improvement to your English-Language Arts skills (and NOT just use A.I. for essays, letters, et cetera), you've come to the correct person. If you're in need to understand Literature from Shakespeare to today (and not just ask Grok), you found a great person to help you.
- My Teaching Methods and Techniques revolve around assessing where the Student is in comprehension, understanding where said Student needs to be, and put together a process to get the Student not just from "A" to "B" but fully understand and can apply that understanding beyond the task(s)-at-hand. It's a Holistic approach, that does not exist in a vacuum- but in the space and time of the Student, the Tutor, and Life.
- Lesson Plans will follow a general format as-follows (subject to adjustment en-session): Check-in, triage of current situation, work-through the assignment, steps to take post-tutoring session, check-out. This format allows for communication and better understanding of the Student's situation (that session).
- Setting me apart from the crowd, is my range of experience, knowledge-base, and coursework. From Essay-writing and Text-analysis, to Literature Studies that span (primarily) from the 1500s to the Present, as well as being published in several journals (fiction, non-fiction, and historical study). In addition, I have a wide and varied range of knowledge in many subjects and areas- as learning doesn't stop at the end of compulsory education.
- Lessons are Primarily for College Undergraduates (though Secondary Education- level students will be considered case-by-case). I expect students to come prepared, as I will come prepared as well. You the Student should care enough to put the effort in- as I will be caring enough to put the effort into you.
