About Lilit
I am a Durham University undergraduate moving into my 3rd year in Biological Sciences with a strong academic record including 9A* at GCSE and 3A (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics) at A level.
I love teaching and have been tutoring a Year 8 pupil in Biology (happy to provide reference) as well as working for 2+ years in Student Outreach programmes at my school as a lead mentor to teach science to Year 5/6 pupils.

I approach each topic by explaining a broader, more contextual view of the concept before narrowing down into specifics- I think this is important as it allows the student to understand why the topic is important, exciting, and allows the student to understand links and similarities with other topics, giving a more comprehensive understanding of Biology as a whole as well as learning new material.
In Biology, it is important to use specific terms to gain marks in exams, so I aim to make these terms second nature to the student when they see particular types of questions. Most importantly, biology is a fascinating subject that I am excited to teach!
