Core Pedagogical Approach
• Technique Over Imitation: You emphasize proper body mechanics, muscle engagement, alignment, and cultural context instead of surface-level choreography. South Coast Conservatory +2
• Individualized Attention: You adapt lessons to personal goals, offering real-time corrections and customized feedback to accelerate progress. inmovementdance.com
• Progressive Skill-Building: You break complex movements down into manageable frameworks, moving logically from rhythm and musicality to execution and performance. YouTube·STEEZY +2
• Inclusive & Open Environment: You create a welcoming space that encourages student agency, peer observation, and artistic self-expression.
How You Share Knowledge Across All Dance Genres
• Catering to Multiple Learning Styles:
• Visual: Clear demonstrations, breakdowns, and visual cues.
• Aural: Connecting movement patterns and counts directly to the rhythm, phrasing, and emotional feel of the music.
• Kinesthetic: Hands-on repetition, muscle memory drills, and spatial exploration.
• Verbal & Logical: Explicit explanations of why a movement works and the anatomical or structural logic behind it. YouTube·Brenda Liew Online +2
• Genre-Versatile Frameworks:
• Whether teaching street dance, contemporary, ballet, or social rhythms, you anchor every style in its core groove, historical roots, and foundational vocabulary rather than treating steps as isolated tricks
