First thing is getting a grasp of a students understanding of the subject he/she is struggling with. Once that has been determined I make up a plan of action. This would include summarizing the topic in a few understandable and digestible points, finding proper questions appropriate for the students level, and later explaining any aspects the student doesn't understand in an easy to understand fashion. I always keep track of the students improvements in a spreadsheet so I can see how the he/she improves over time.
I am a computer science student at the University of Manchester. My family lives in Liverpool, and I recently finished collage at Liverpool College doing Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at A-Levels. I've had tutoring experience with my peers and younger sister. They tell me I'm good at explaining complicated concepts simply and that I can keep the lessons fun and engaging. I suppose I'll have to trust them on that!
I only charge to travel if it's outside of Liverpool. If you cancel please make it at least 12 hours before the lesson. I charge a ligth cancellation fee of 10£ if it's after that.
I am a very motivated and hard working 1st year student of computer science at the University of Manchester, having recently graduated from Liverpool College. I studied mathematics, physics and chemistry at A level, and am now in a gap year looking for part time work. I am a quick thinker and am very adaptive to new environments. My communication skills are excellent and I speak three languages fluently. I have already done a lot of work in service when I worked for charities in Bangladesh. We would often organize fund raising events like sales. I have also completed the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, for which I have worked in very large groups climbing mountains and camping. I did volunteer work for the Combined Cadet Force Navy section at my school as well, instructing younger cadets in various activities, so I am highly disciplined and capable of instructing. I was voted best navy cadet in 2017. As a school leaver, I am looking for work that will introduce me into the mechanics of working society, and am hoping for challenging and rewarding experiences that will help me and my skill-set grow. I am very motivated and very willing to learn.
