About Simon
I'm a graduate of vehicle design with 25 years' experience of designing high-tech concepts for the car industry. I start my projects with beautiful sketch work and use my expertise in user-centred design and knowledge of manufacturing to develop them into real-world proposals. Through my work I have extensive experience of helping students of all ages develop their confidence and skills in sketching, illustration and idea creation.

In your design learning journey, flexibility is important. I have taught and mentored design students at every level, from GCSE to University. I will bring out the best in every learner. A series of one-hour weekly get-togethers is enough to cover the principles and practice of sketching and idea development, and to provide feedback and development goals. For more advanced students, the opportunity of longer sessions is available - to review or kick off an art or design project, or to develop concept ideas together in real time.
