About Aimée
I am a bilingual mother of two offering supportive, one-on-one French literacy help for young students navigating the British Columbia French Immersion program.
I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Biology and a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management, and I work in French on a regular basis in a professional setting. My strong academic background, combined with real-world French usage, allows me to explain concepts clearly and accurately—at a level children understand.
As a parent with two children currently in French Immersion, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging reading and writing in French can be for students from anglophone households, and how limited at-home support can affect confidence. Many families are looking for patient, reliable reinforcement outside the classroom, that’s where I help.
My experience as a figure skating coach, swimming instructor, and caregiver for young children has given me strong foundations in instruction, encouragement, and child-centered learning. I understand how to break skills down, meet children where they are, and create a positive learning environment that builds confidence rather than pressure.
By combining child awareness, instructional experience, and fluency in French, I support students in strengthening their reading, writing, and oral skills which helps them feel more confident, capable, and prepared at school.
