About Cyrus
For over 4 years, I’ve been tutoring middle school students in algebra. With a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science, I bring both knowledge and creativity to my teaching. I focus on the foundations—linear equations, polynomials, and functions. These areas often cause the most confusion, but I simplify them with care. Puzzles and games make practice more engaging. Real-world scenarios, like budgeting or sports, show why algebra matters. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my style. I’ve worked with visual learners, hands-on learners, and those who need repetition. Many of my students struggle with math anxiety, and I’ve helped them build confidence. Math is more powerful when taught with digital thinking in mind. My lessons focus on coding logic, algorithmic steps, and computational reasoning. Discrete mathematics is taught with simple, practical examples. Algebra and problem-solving are linked to programming-style thought processes. I work closely with Architects and Proof Seekers.
