As much as I love playing the piano myself, I genuinely enjoy teaching music to others. I am particularly passionate about understanding how and why students think the way they do, finding the best solutions to help them improve, and seeing my advice work effectively. These moments are, to me, the most rewarding and fascinating aspects of teaching music!

Beginners: I introduce fundamental concepts of music, such as keys, pitch, rhythm, and finger numbers. As lessons progress, I focus on developing independent reading skills step by step, as this is the quickest and most reliable way to enjoy performing music. In addition to textbooks, I use engaging tools like tiles, pens, and magnets. Many of my beginner students now read music confidently and comfortably! Returners/Hobbyists: For returning players, I recommend revisiting fundamental scales and arpeggios as a warm-up before working on pieces. You are welcome to bring your favourite music—whether classical or pop—and I will guide you with advice to help you play smoothly and musically. Grade Exam Preparation (any level): [Scales/Arpeggios] I ensure students can perform these comfortably and with confidence. [Pieces] While accuracy is crucial, I emphasise musical expression and teach techniques to enhance your interpretation. [Sight Reading] I provide tailored exercises and various music sheets to strengthen sight-reading skills.
