About Maria Miguel
Having studied back in London (Roehampton University, Trinity Laban) and New York (Manhattanville College, Movement Research) propells my interest in sharing my practice and skills here in Portugal. I have been involved and learned from artists such as Siobhan Davies, Amy Bell, Charlie Ashwell, Seke Chimuntengwe, Kerry Nichols, Wayne McGregor, Hoffesh Schechter.
Classes will be structured according to the students' needs, combining warm-up, creative prompts and physical tasks.

Through building a relationship of trust, I aim to understand the present needs of the student, and this way I can provide useful tools for development. I offer methods that stimulate the body expression and creativity and improvisational skills.
I aim to work towards the integration of the practical, physical and sensorial with the realm of ideas and the history of the body and dance. Hence, there will be space to experiment, dance, choreograph and improvise.
