I grew up in Jamaica learning how to cook watching my mother, whilst she was cooking at our outdoor kitchen using the wood fire. She never needed any help but always manage to produce a delicious meal. 'she's my inspiration', food has aways been a big interest of mine.
Lesson structure: Take notes, always prep first, know what's going you be cooked first, be ready to be inspired.
I think I was either 11 or 12 years old that was 20 years ago, when I asked my mum how to cook curry chicken, because she was busy with a client, she was a dress maker and I wanted to cook so for the family she could continue with her work, I never watched her cook that particular meal and she gave me a few instruction and I went on my way to cook it and it actually came out really good I was impressed with myself. I always helped to cook dinner on Sundays and I cooked dinner on most Saturdays for the family by myself when mom was at the market.
First one hour lessons are free so students have to pay for the additional hour lessons ingredients and travel
I have a food hygiene certificate.
