About Elara
My journey with guitar began when I became fascinated by how a few simple notes could create powerful musical stories. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance before earning a PhD in Contemporary Guitar Education. Over the last 11 years, I have guided students through many stages of musical development.
I believe learning music should be both structured and enjoyable. My teaching approach focuses on practical application, clear explanations, and helping students understand the purpose behind each technique. Every learner receives guidance tailored to their goals and learning style.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing music, performing live, and studying different guitar traditions from around the world. These experiences help me bring variety and inspiration into every lesson. Watching students develop confidence and creativity through music is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students become skilled and expressive musicians while enjoying the learning process. Topics such as chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, fingerstyle techniques, scale development, improvisation, ear training, solo construction, and song performance are taught through practical exercises and real musical examples. I focus on developing both technical ability and creativity.
Lessons are personalised to suit each student’s musical interests and experience level. Beginners learn foundational skills that build confidence, while advanced learners explore complex techniques, stylistic interpretation, and performance preparation. Structured practice plans help students progress steadily between lessons.
I encourage students to view challenges as opportunities for growth. Music becomes more rewarding when learners understand how different skills connect together. My goal is to help students build confidence, musical independence, and a lifelong enjoyment of playing guitar.
