About Ciira
I am a multidisciplinary professional with an academic and practical background in criminology, security studies, investigations, risk management, and international relations and diplomacy.
I graduated with First Class Honours in Criminology and Security Studies, developing a strong foundation in criminological theory, criminal justice, security analysis, crime prevention, research methodology, and investigative practice. I am also pursuing studies in International Relations and Diplomacy, which has broadened my understanding of international security, diplomacy, transnational crime, international cooperation, and the geopolitical dimensions of contemporary security challenges.
My professional experience has provided me with practical exposure across several complementary fields. I have worked as a loss adjuster, where I developed skills in risk assessment, claims investigation, evidence evaluation, documentation, and identifying factors contributing to loss. I have also worked as a forward area operator, gaining experience in operational environments that require situational awareness, discipline, decision-making, risk identification, and effective communication.
As a detective, I have further developed my investigative and analytical capabilities, including information assessment, evidence-based reasoning, problem solving, interviewing, investigative planning, and the analysis of circumstances surrounding criminal activity.
The combination of my academic training and professional experience has enabled me to approach crime and security issues from both theoretical and practical perspectives. I am particularly interested in crime analysis, security risk assessment, crime prevention, investigative research, transnational crime, intelligence analysis, and the relationship between security and international relations.
I bring a strong analytical mindset, professional discipline, research capability, and a practical understanding of security and investigative environments. My objective is to use these skills to help individuals, organisations, researchers, and institutions better understand crime and security challenges and develop evidence-based, practical solutions.
