I am DBS Checked and have a Child protection qualification from the NSPCC. I aim to aid in a student's understanding of their subject through one-on-one tuition and consolidating homework.
I love to interact with my students academically thus ensuring that each and every student gets my undivided attention. My technique ensure that none of my students is left behind in terms of grasping the concept at hand. .I also love giving a Continuous Assessment Test after the end of every topic to gauge the level of understanding in that particular field. .
I feel that studying law is best approached from a simple starting point. Once the basics are understood, it is easier to move forward in bite size chunks, gradually increasing the complexity of the material. It can be hugely daunting when studying law to have a case judgement in front of you spanning a few hundred pages.
My teaching method is generally tailored to each student’s needs; whether it requires mentoring, drama, real life examples or step by step guidance, I am happy to fulfil my student’s needs by listening to their needs and adapting accordingly.
Tutoring Approach: I take a very practical approach to teaching and the approach will be adapted to the course undertaken by the student. I am also able to assist with exam revision and revision techniques. I pride myself in providing students with targets and take great pride in seeing them meet their own targets.
My teaching methods aren't very complex. I use what I learnt by watching my lecturers and try to implement their methods myself. I start by trying to understand where the student is struggling and then I find materials that will help them develop an understanding of whatever topic they are wanting to improve on.
Delivering lectures to groups of students and using advanced teaching techniques to inspire and motivate them for higher level qualifications and then employment Being aware of curriculum developments and industry developments. Ability to maintain high standards of achievement, behavior, discipline and punctuality amongst students. Knowledge of health and safety issues.
Ultimately, I expect to gauge what level the student is currently at, help them to understand how they best learn, and focus on this to help them revise previous content and then teach them the newer material in order to assist their academic development. I am friendly and approachable, no question is a silly question! To conclude, I have a current CRB check working at a local high school.
I was a previous member of the Peer Assisted Learning Scheme. My teaching method is majorly aimed at my individual students as that is the whole point in the lessons. My teaching style cannot be defined as one style as I easily adapt to an individuals needs.
During the course of the past year, University of London has taught me that we must critically evaluate everything and that there is always two sides to a story. This approach is something what I have adopted and is always reflective in my teaching method.

I am comfortable tutoring students up to undergraduate level, and enjoy using my skills to develop essay writing technique, to contextualise and critically assess the efficiency of law.
My teaching method will vary accordingly to the level of understanding you have. I run through basics to advanced levels to enable high achievement. The structure of my work is more hands on and visual as i believe students understand better this way. This will include presentation slides, working through example questions and relatable conversations.

• Tutored a young boy with autism; used my initiative to thinks up new ways to encourage him to learn and displayed my patience and empathy to calm him down in tense situations. Tailored the lessons to his needs, to allow him to get the most out of his 1:1 sessions. Through joint hard work and determination, he achieved outstanding results in his exams.
I base my teaching method on the collaborative approach to learning, encouraging independent thought and research whilst providing support, encouragement and clarification along the way. I like to establish a personal connection between student and the topic of study, as I find it helps students think in a less personally biased way which is particularly important in Law.
My teaching method is looking at problems logically, breaking down what certain essay/problem queations require and helping you plan a structure. I also give good tips on how to write a good legal question that is concise and sticks to the point, an important skill for law essays. I also give useful structures for case briefs, making them easier to remember, understand and apply when necessary.
I like to tailor my lessons to the pupil's individual needs and interest. I am a strong advocate for encouraging critical thinking in pupils as I believe this allows them to formulate and substantiate their own opinions.
