I prepare material and questions for you to engage with, so you can explore and show what you (want to) know, both verbally and in writing. We can both review material and learn new concepts. For me, learning is about qualifications, but also about community integration and self-reflection. My tutoring is inspired by Paulo Freire and Gert Biesta.
I approach each topic to suit the needs of the student, and have a flexible approach to learning. I can also help gain valuable assessment marks by improving spelling and grammar! I am happy to undertake group lessons or simply assist on individual issues for students.
I teach A - Level Law with constant reference to the syllabus and with heavy regard to the way material ought to be learned for the purposes of the exam and how to use such material in the most credit-worthy manner. I will explain concepts via analogy and I ensure to make a point of asking questions regularly to assess comprehension and engagement.
My teaching method is helping the student find the topic that they either already know or have some knowledge in then move onto how we can increase their knowledge before branching out and moving onto other topics. I plan each lesson based of strengths to then build up on a relationship between the student and I then heading on to providing work to do on their own and marking work within 24 hours.
My teaching method is divided into content based teaching for the first half, an a 15 minute interactive session, then a final question and answer session! I want my tutor sessions to be as relaxed as possible, so please feel free to stop me to ask questions if at any point you don't understand/have a question! I also help those who are looking for personal development sessions, through personal...
I teach people who want to get a solid understanding of foundation level law, as well as those wanting to achieve First Class at undergraduate level, or Distinction at postgraduate level. Before any lesson, we have to discuss where you feel your weakness is, and where we need to focus our attention.
The first lesson will begin with a needs assessment where we will discuss what areas of law need to be revised and to what level. I will then tailor personalised lesson to suit each individual student and build confidence. Lessons can also include training in mooting and advocacy, writing submissions, coursework and exam assistance.
These methods have a certain outcome, of retention of information and better grades.
I love to interact with my students academically thus ensuring that each and every student gets my undivided attention. My technique ensure that none of my students is left behind in terms of grasping the concept at hand. .I also love giving a Continuous Assessment Test after the end of every topic to gauge the level of understanding in that particular field. .
I use a range of teaching methods that are inclusive of various learning styles to meet the individual needs of the learner and promote a positive learning experience. I primarily use discussion for both one-to-one and group sessions and encourage learner led delivery fostering a sense of self-efficacy and confidence in their subject knowledge.
Tutoring Approach: I take a very practical approach to teaching and the approach will be adapted to the course undertaken by the student. I am also able to assist with exam revision and revision techniques. I pride myself in providing students with targets and take great pride in seeing them meet their own targets.
My teaching methods aren't very complex. I use what I learnt by watching my lecturers and try to implement their methods myself. I start by trying to understand where the student is struggling and then I find materials that will help them develop an understanding of whatever topic they are wanting to improve on.
I was a previous member of the Peer Assisted Learning Scheme. My teaching method is majorly aimed at my individual students as that is the whole point in the lessons. My teaching style cannot be defined as one style as I easily adapt to an individuals needs.
I believe in law it is not only about understanding the law but also being creative in the interpretation and application. I encourage my students to engage improving their confidence and ability to communicate.
I approach each topic by breaking one big lesson down into it's main components, for example, in criminal law, Causing death would be split into homicide, manslaughter, mercy killing, infanticide, child destruction, defences and sentencing. I like to teach in a seminar/classroom style, and I am happy to work with student with learning difficulties and disabilities which hinder their learning.
A-level Law is massively based around remembering cases and the law that applies to them. At the start of every lesson there will be a recap of the cases learnt previously, increasing in number each time. After this a new Topic will be discussed and explained, I would give the student an exam style question on this topic that they will need to complete for the next lesson.
My teaching method includes using real world examples to give the best understanding to students. I also uses various memory techniques to improve use of case citations in exam scenarios. My belief is that law does not have to be confusing and overwhelming topic it is often seen as.
I approach each topic depending on the specific needs of each student. I identify the areas that each student needs to work on and then prepare material specifically tailored to address those weaknesses. My method is very hands on and practical, which students find to be the best way to obtain optimal results in exams and extended projects.
During the course of the past year, University of London has taught me that we must critically evaluate everything and that there is always two sides to a story. This approach is something what I have adopted and is always reflective in my teaching method.
My target student is university level in law. my lesson structure will be based on the student, how they like to learn and when. My aim is to ensure the learner comes away understanding what they need to know and feel comfortable.
I base my teaching method on the collaborative approach to learning, encouraging independent thought and research whilst providing support, encouragement and clarification along the way. I like to establish a personal connection between student and the topic of study, as I find it helps students think in a less personally biased way which is particularly important in Law.
I like to tailor my lessons to the pupil's individual needs and interest. I am a strong advocate for encouraging critical thinking in pupils as I believe this allows them to formulate and substantiate their own opinions.
