About Abbas
Hello, my name is Abbas and I just finished my 4th year of medicine in Christchurch. Beyond that I experienced private tutoring myself. This was when I realized that most of the tutors I was with did not have a clue what they were talking about and just handed me worksheets while making a fortune off of me. I guess you could say this is the reason I chose to become a tutor to stop this ignorant style of tutoring and develop what feels more like a collaboration between the tutor and the student.
Apart from this I have a few hobbies including playing football and chess in my spare time. I like to go on runs and I am a big foodie.

Being a tutor I believe that in order to learn, you must go beyond just memorization. I believe tutoring is more like a partnership between the tutor and student. In order to foster this partnership, it is imperative to help the student feel comfortable and listened to so they can ask relevant questions that may challenge them.
In terms of my approach I will formulate a customized learning plan, tackle relevant questions and case studies, help develop the students ability to be calm under pressure and support my students development throughout this process.
