About Katie
I am currently studying for a degree in chemistry at the University of York. I am passionate about all things STEM! I love carrying out experiments in the lab and understanding why things happen. I achieved an A in both Maths and Chemistry A level. Outside of my studies I play lots of field hockey, enjoy lifting weights at the gym and playing the piano.

I prefer to teach through the use of exam questions. We talk through how to attempt the question and complete it together. This allows the pupil to build their exam technique whilst also learning the content and then when the time comes for the exam the pupil has a sense of familiarity and extra confidence when looking through and completing the paper. This teaching style requires contribution from the pupil encouraging active learning as opposed to passive.
