About Hafsah
I am currently a sixth form student studying History, Latin and Law at A-level. I'm currently predicted all As in my exams, and this is predicted to go up to A*s. At GCSE, I studied Latin, History, Citizenship and Computer Science, getting all grades 7 - 9 (only 20% of students nationwide achieved ONE grade 7-9 at GCSE in 2019). In Citizenship, I achieved a grade 8, and also supported other students.
My experience is mostly voluntary, ranging from a Year 7 English class to a Year 11 Latin class. I have also done 1-1 volunteering, supporting a lower-ability student whose target grade increased after the time I spent with him.

My classes are heavily based on exam practice, as this is the best way to improve in subjects that are so essay-based. In Citizenship, it is also important to stay up to date in terms of the news and general political knowledge, so I try to incorporate that into my lessons in enjoyable ways.
My philosophy is that exam practice allows us to find gaps in a student's knowledge, so I use this to plan future lessons around topics that the student struggles with. As I have experience in memory techniques that are used widely by experts, this helps students remember what they previously struggled with.

I'm someone who's studied and worked with Hafsah for a long time now. She's a fabulous person, both as a student and as a tutor. She works well with people of all personalities, abilities and ages. Personally, I've found that she's good at teaching many subjects, from Maths to Science to English.
Hafsah supported me during my GCSEs. She's really easy to talk to and I found it super easy to ask her for help! She's always willing to help, which is great because she's got loads of experience supporting students in the new GCSE specification (9-1). She helped me with both Latin and English Literature, and my literary analysis in both subjects really massively improved! I would definitely recommend her
