About Elena
I am from Singapore but grew up in France, so I've been through many different school systems, so I hope I can bring an interesting approach to my tutoring lessons! I found that the only way I improved in my studies was by really enjoying and being interested in the topics I was taught; I hope I can help my students feel the same too :) I achieved (concealed information) at GCSE, and I am now doing my A levels, hoping to become a Doctor

Before our first lessons, I will ask for a list of topics the student is struggling with, their learning style (e.g audio, visual), and what exam board they do. The sessions start with a run-through of the topic, and then once it is understood, we will move on to some practice questions with the specification to ensure all exam keywords are being used! Each lesson will always end with a 6-marker on what was being taught that day; this is to ensure the student can recall the information and can use the exam vocabulary accurately. I will also set a small amount of homework which will include some questions on what we have just done and some questions on next weeks work. However, if there are times when the student would rather go through their school exam papers or homework, I am more than happy to do so! If the parent is okay with it, the student may have my number and contact me anytime if they ever have any questions about their school work :)
