About Vega
Hi! My name is Vega and I am a sophomore at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. I am not a native Spanish speaker, but was put into an immersion program at a young age and have now been certified as bilingual in the state of Oregon. Because of my history learning the language, I have found ways to understand concepts that aren't necessarily taught in standard classes that can help facilitate the learning process. I have been in a student's shoes (and still am), and would love to help make a difficult challenge easier!

My approach in teaching is very dependent on the needs of the individual that I am helping. I believe that everyone learns differently, which requires flexibility in teaching. As a current student, I have found ways that have helped me learn topics and concepts that are difficult to grasp, and I would love to pass on my findings to other students in need. I would be most helpful for students in entry-level Spanish courses, but could extend toward AP Spanish courses.
