Currently in a Biology program for Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Calgary. I work at Mathnasium and tutor kids K-12 in math. I also tutor kids privately in grade nine math.

About Navreet
Having been through the CBE, I understand the math and science curriculum very well.
I have multiple approaches and explanations to a problem. If one way doesn’t work for a student I can always change it up. I want to teach my students problem solving skills as well.
I create personalized example questions on the spot based off the student’s understanding of the concept.

My method of teaching consists of initially walking through example questions and explaining why I’m doing the question a certain way. I, then, assign a question for them to do and allow them their space to complete the question. If they are successful, I ask them to walk me through what they did. I realize that kids may be hesitant to ask questions, so I recognize their body language when they are struggling with a question and jump in to help.
